The Microsoft Engagement Manager must be able to simultaneously manage a number of implementations/initiatives. He/she must leverage knowledge and experience from each engagement, ensure that work is aligned with client objectives and that the work meets or exceeds client expectations.

  • Monitor the quality aspects of deliverables and implementation activities;
  • Liaise with the customer sponsor and the steering committee to ensure successful delivery of commitments, quality and alignment with scope;
  • Follow escalation path for any deviation from the scope;
  • Review project deliverables to satisfy scope, objectives and business requirements;
  • Ensure services, project performance and deliverables are aligned to deliver expected business outcomes;
  • Remove project delivery barriers, resolve and escalate issues and make recommendations to the steering committee;
  • Provide project management oversight;
  • Build sponsorship coalition for managing organizational change;
  • Identify/mitigate risks and other barriers to successful project execution and escalate issues as appropriate;
  • Establish strong client relationships;
  • Monitor engagement performance and present the implementation success, challenges and results in a consultative manner;
  • Prepare plans/quotes and outline a specific scope of work to the client with input from your internal team;
  • Provide ongoing management and guidance of your assigned customer team, consisting of experienced services professionals, who will work closely with you to execute your clients’ projects;
  • Identify key implementation risks or challenges quickly and work closely with your internal team and the customer to address them;
  • Ensure your customer team manages to prescribed timelines, meets deliverable deadlines and is recognized for providing high-quality work and compelling results;
  • Manage the overall profitability of your client implementations, including labour hours and expenses per the approved budget;
  • Continuously seek ways to improve our efficiency and effectiveness internally as well as with our clients.

Does this sound like you?
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8-10+ years of progressively responsible experience;
  • Experience with ERP and/or CRM implementations required;
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal/communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to:
    • identify opportunities for future implementations, gather client requirements and effectively communicate them to your internal customer team;
    • manage multiple assigned projects;
    • plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Strong and effective decision-making and project management skills;
  • Effective leader and team player;
  • Thrives in high energy, small business environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize, while working with a sense of urgency against weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Fluency in English is required, fluency in French is an asset. Languages required:
    • English: 4/4
