- Lead the implementation of an efficient, robust and standardized technology development strategy in line with the specificity of the solutions under their control;
- Optimize delivery to customers and ensure the continuous improvement of digital solutions;
- Commit to promoting innovation in technological choices and work methods to meet and even anticipate the needs of the business sectors served by the organization;
- Support the implementation of digital practices to support the delivery of various projects;
- Build and mobilize their team to meet the organization’s priorities and ensure its performance;
- Demonstrate the ability to be a human and inspiring manager for their teams;
- Demonstrate an interest in clients’ business area and promote the implementation of projects to meet their digital transformation needs;
- Carry out a diagnosis of the activities related to the business intelligence of clients;
- Provide recommendations to improve the BI structure of clients;
- Support the sales team and participate in the pre-sales of BI services;
- Keep abreast of global BI trends and implement action plans to develop Alithya’s future capabilities;
- Understand clients’ business needs and shape their requirements into concrete BI deliverables for the delivery team;
- Partner with multiple business and IT stakeholders to define BI strategies and roadmaps.
A typical day looks like:
- Recruit, onboard, support, motivate, develop and coach their team;
- Responsible for the solution development service offering in their area of expertise;
- Establish and maintain relationships with business partners;
- Responsible for the budgetary follow-up of their activities;
- Participate in project coordination committees with business partners;
- Follow up on projects and initiatives while respecting the quality of the services provided and expected;
- Plan and coordinate assigned projects in collaboration with project managers and client representatives;
- Promote a continuous improvement approach within the team;
- Participate in the functional and technological evolution of the digital solutions centre;
- Take to heart the outreach of their service offering;
- Support the business development team and actively contribute to calls for tender.
- University degree in computer science or a combination of a DEC and relevant experience;
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing development teams;
- Mastery of the following three (3) areas:
- Employee management;
- Client management;
- Project delivery management.
- Excellent knowledge of project management concepts and Agile development;
- Mobilizing leadership with a proven ability to influence;
- Ability to work under pressure while delegating and managing priorities;
- Collaborative customer approach at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to work in a team and to be open-minded and innovative;
- Good adaptability and tolerance for ambiguity;
- Excellent risk management and comfortable in formulating mitigation plans;
- Adoption of a “Management 3.0” culture with their team;
- Knowledge of digital environments;
- Experience in:
- team management;
- end-to-end project management (project/delivery) (a very strong asset); not necessarily purely functional.
- Very good knowledge of analytical tools/data concepts (BI);
- Ability to have presales discussions with the client;
