Please note that this position is fully remote and oversees the United States. Candidates can be located anywhere in the U.S. and will report to our office in Alpharetta.

The Oracle Financial Services Consultant is a technology savvy-Business Analyst role that will provide domain and functional expertise required to effectively assist with Oracle EPM implementations and Oracle EPM Sales cycles in a Financial Services setting. This is a hybrid sales and billable role with a 50-50 target split of time.
Sub-industry expertise in either banking or insurance is required.  Business process expertise in either Financial Close, Consolidation, and Reporting (including regulatory), or Financial and Operational Planning is required. Prior experience with actuarial modelling and/or stress testing is helpful but not required.
  • Align business processes to EPM needs;
  • Break down EPM content for financial services business users/leaders;
  • Perform testing regarding Financial Services functional processes;
  • Outline reporting needs;
  • Contribute to and understand Alithya's unique intellectual property in Financial Services and assist clients and delivery teams with fit-gap and configuration of that content.

Product Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • in a Power User or Functional Administrator capacity with one and/or multiple Hyperion/Oracle System(s) either in an on-premises or Cloud-based solution;
    • with one or more of the following:
      • Hyperion Planning or Oracle Enterprise Planning Cloud Service (EPBCS);
      • Oracle ERP Cloud Financials;
      • Oracle Financial Close and Consolidation Cloud Service (FCCS);
      • Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS);
      • Oracle Profitability and Cost Management (PCMCS).
    • with Financial, Managerial, or Regulatory reporting in a financial service setting with Smart View for Office;
      • Additional exposure to Financial Reporting, Managerial Reporting, or Narrative Reporting (desirable).
    • Writing functional specifications;
    • Testing and troubleshooting;
    • Interfacing with clients and business users;
    • Preparing and delivering end-user training.

Functional Financial Services Qualifications:

  • Banking and/or Insurance industry experience;
  • Domain experience:
    • Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting (External, Regulatory) and/or Planning ,Profitability, and Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services terminology;
  • Familiarity with financial services concepts and accounting is a must. This is not a role for a general expense analyst from a financial services firm.

General Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or relevant experience;

  • Willingness to travel, although right now we are implementing solutions 100% virtually;

  • Strong team player with leadership skills - proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment;

  • Ability to:

    • work independently and be accountable for results;

    • multi-task across multiple sales opportunities and projects in parallel.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills;
  • Detail oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to articulate solutions clearly. Level expected:
    • English: 4/4
