Take your ambitions to the next level
  • Define, design and implement network security architecture practice and actively contribute to the development of security policies and standards;
  • Implement architecture patterns to secure design networks;
  • Work closely with security officers that are in subsidiaries and business units as well as Subject Matter Experts and security operational teams;
  • Contribute to securing the company’s business projects in a dynamic and constructive manner;
  • Identify weaknesses, potential vulnerabilities and risks in collaboration with the Corporate Cyber Security Department (CCSD) as well as Risk and Governance Department;
  • Secure networks according to the identified risks and security requirements mentioned in the security documents;
  • Analyze and assess requests for any exceptions to security requirements and propose mitigation measures;
  • Ensure contributions are made in accordance with the security management framework, approved documentation standards and security repositories (NIST CSF, NIST 800, CIS Benchmark, ITIL, FAIR);
  • Design SMART security solutions (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-defined);
  • Harmonize and standardize network security across business units;
  • Identify and map networks used by systems and maintain over time;
  • Act as an expert in the resolution and analysis of security incidents involving networks;
  • Manage escalations in accordance with the issue resolution process;
  • Ensure compliance with the planning and quality of the architectural deliverables;
  • Identify potential issues and propose solutions in a collaborative manner;
  • Collaborate with the Vice-President of Internal Audits on a regular basis;
  • Participate in the design and improvement of contribution processes;
  • Ensure ongoing collaboration with operational and CCSD security teams;
  • Provide an activity report on a weekly basis;
  • Support management decisions and strategic security plan.

Does this sound like you?
  • Have a recognised IT security bachelors, diploma or certificate;
  • CSP and/or CISSP certifications, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco;
  • Fifteen (15) years of IT experience, including ten (10) years in IT security;
  • Five (5) years of experience in network security architecture as well as the use and implementation of at least 4 of the following tools: CISCO, Radware, Paloalto, Fortinet, Checkpoint and Citrix Netscaler;
  • Excellent technical knowledge in routing and switching protocols including TCP/IP, STP, EIGRP, BGP, IPSec, MPLS, SD-WAN, QoS and complex routing protocol configuration;

  • Fluency with Windows, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Linux, and Virtualization (VMware/vRA, Hyper-V, PowerVC, Citrix);

  • Strong experience:

    • in isolation and micro segmentation (physical and virtual): firewall, ACL, “Web Filtering”;
    • with MPLS network architecture and Internet “Backbone”;
    • with internal and external network security and architecture in the following networks: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, VoIP, Cisco routers/switches, VMware NSX and network monitoring.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Securing networks (SSL, AES, VPN, etc.);
    • Content Delivery Management (CDN), telephone and cellular network architecture;
    • Virtualization of networks;
    • Authentication certificates management;
    • Zero Trust Model architecture;
    • System automation and processes;
    • Network monitoring and alerting systems design.
  • Excellent knowledge of security repositories (NIST CSF, NIST 800 Series, FAIR, CIS Benchmark, ITIL);
  • Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory environments (privacy, regulation of publicly traded companies (52-109), protection of telecommunications infrastructure);
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills as well as strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Ability to understand business needs as well as potential security and compliance issues; 
  • Able to establish good working relationships with others and work as a team;
  • Demonstrate judgement and discretion with confidential information;
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and managing tenders (RFI/RFP/RFQ);

  • Ability to manage technically and/or interpersonally complex issues, be creative (-ve) in problem solving as well as autonomous and structured;

  • Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE Security written) or experience in a telecommunications company would be considered assets;
  • Languages required:
    • French :4/4 
    • English: 4/4
