As a Business Development Representative, you are responsible for our Canadian business. You will drive demand for Alithya services and Microsoft solutions in a variety of ways including: further qualifying opportunities generated by marketing, managing/qualifying inbound activity, and performing outbound sales prospecting activities. The position consists of outbound prospecting efforts, filling pipeline through a proven cadence of opportunity follow-ups, cold calling and sending 1:1 emails, leading high-level discovery calls with prospects, and educating our prospects on the value of Alithya and Microsoft business applications (ERP, CRM solutions as well as Power apps, BI and e-commerce). Strong  professional communication, research, and networking skills, as well as marketing and sales skills are essential. The Business Development Representative is an integral part of our sales organization and is a critical role in the growth and success of the company.

  • Cultivate new sales opportunities from a variety of sources, including web contact forms, phone calls, online chats, informational downloads, events, and outbound sales prospecting efforts;
  • Maintain a high level of outbound calls and emails to prospects on a daily basis;
  • Research and catalogue contact, account and opportunity information;
  • Manage assigned opportunity database within Microsoft Dynamics CRM and prioritize leads;
  • Perform qualification calls and comfortably navigate questions to capture necessary information including customer needs, technology environment, current initiatives, requirements, timeframe, and budgetary information;
  • Profile and target prospect accounts within specified verticals and build and nurture database: research company demographics, identify C-level contacts, and deliver relevant Alithya solution messaging and intelligently articulate company value proposition at management and executive levels;
  • Collaborate closely with Alithya Account Executives and senior leaders to ensure coverage of targets, alignment with portfolio strategy, and transition prospects to a sales qualified opportunity;
  • Collaborate with other divisions of Alithya as needed to create co-sell opportunities;
  • Maintain and expand our database of prospects and prospect profiling data using tools such as ZoomInfo and social media platforms;
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Does this sound like you?
  • 1 year of experience as a Microsoft D365 Business Development Representative or in a similar role;

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Strong phone presence and ability to comfortably navigate complex business discussions;
  • Strong listening and presentation skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively;
  • Sales experience and/or experience with volume calling;
  • The following qualifications are preferable:
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or equivalent;
    • Solution sales experience;
    • Knowledge of ERP, CRM, Business Intelligence, and Cloud solution concepts and products;
    • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French. Level Expected:
    • French: 4/4 
    • English: 4/4
