Please note that this role will start off as a Full time remote work from home position. Once the Covid-19 situation is deemed stabilized the role will transition into working from our office in Pickering Ontario

You will work on technically challenging and interesting projects, mostly within the nuclear industry. You require strong technical skills and excellent communication skills. You must be comfortable in client facing situations, be results driven and flexible, take ownership of tasks, and enjoy variety in your work.

  • Direct technical project staff;

  • Be responsible for the architecture and design of control systems;

  • Prepare and review technical design documentation;

  • Provide support for and meet with clients;

  • Prepare proposals, including labour estimates and conceptual designs;

  • Work in a project-based environment;

  • Travel to client sites for installation and commissioning support when required.

When it just clicks!

Does this sound like you?

  • Over 10 years of experience working with I&C and software aspects of control systems;

  • 10 years of experience as a Senior Controls Systems Engineer or in a similar role;
  • Hold a Professional Engineer designation in Ontario;

  • Politically astute and be comfortable in client-facing environments;

  • Have in-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems;

  • Experience with the following:

    • Automation and motion systems;

    • SCADA server historians and database configuration;

    • Network architecture and configuration;

    • Authoring technical documentation including requirements, design and test specifications;

    • Low-level programming such as VB, C#, etc. (asset);
    • Distributed Control Systems (DCS) (asset);
    • Canadian nuclear industry(asset);
    • Commissioning and installation experience (asset);
    • Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell, Yokogawa, and Aveva (Wonderware) technologies (asset);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills:

    • English: 4/4
