Reporting to the financial reporting controller, you will participate in the delivery of financial analysis and reporting for a comprehensive global view of the group.

  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements including notes, management discussions and analysis reports for public company filings;

  • Collaborate with your team in the preparation of financial information for management, audit committee and board presentations;

  • Assist in the process of quarterly and annual audits with external and internal auditors;

  • Play an active role with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including the processing of various journal entries;

  • Verify results of business units and entities in the group for accuracy and completeness;

  • Act as a business partner in support of various corporate teams and business units to produce accurate and complete financial reports;

  • Analyze accounting issues, including assessment of issues, facts and supportive conclusions in writing;

  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures, including SOX controls;

  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance processes and help the business grow;

  • Assist the corporate tax team, as required.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting;

  • Assets:

    • CPA designation;

    • Minimum of three years of experience in financial reporting or full accounting cycle;

    • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards and regulations (preferably IFRS);

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Macros/Pivots/Functions), PowerPoint, and Word;

  • Ability to work independently, multitask and manage multiple priorities in a changing environment;

  • Strong work ethic and standards;

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and conciseness, with strong technical and analytical skills;

  • Dynamic personality with an ability to learn quickly, be proactive, and adapt to changing requirements.


Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec, and to read and understand documentation.
