Reporting to the Vice-President, Total Rewards, you will act as a strategic partner and be responsible for the development, execution and evaluation of policies and programs in your area of expertise, in a global environment. You will provide relevant recommendations in a context of organic growth as well as acquisitions, ensuring that equity value is achieved and respected. In this sense, your responsibility will cover the entire total rewards component, including compensation, benefits as well as retirement, health and wellness programs.

You will actively participate in major strategic and operational discussions, and in decision making concerning human resources management issues, priorities, processes and indicators.

You will also be responsible for managing, planning, coordinating and supervising the activities of a team of qualified professionals in total rewards management.
 

  • Define orientations, objectives and priorities for action in your field of expertise, in line with Alithya’s needs;

  • Direct:

    • annual compensation cycles, including the salary review process and management of incentive compensation programs;

    • and participate in various projects related to your expertise.

  • Evaluate, analyze and ensure the governance of existing global total rewards programs (North America, Europe, Africa, Asia);

  • Establish relevant recommendations aligned with senior management’s decisions and Alithya’s values and culture;

  • Ensure:

    • the harmonized management of compensation programs worldwide, supported by rigorous processes;

    • the management of relationships with external service providers.

  • Manage, develop and implement total rewards strategies, processes, tools and best practices to attract talent, retain employees and harmonize and consolidate our practices;

  • Build and present operational and executive total rewards models;

  • Provide value-added consulting services to our human capital business partners on total rewards matters;

  • Participate in due diligence reviews, and develop and manage integration plans for acquisitions;

  • Model, analyze and optimize comprehensive total rewards programs to facilitate current and future acquisitions;

  • Coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of subordinates:

    • Ensure that you provide the necessary support to your collaborators in achieving their objectives, both personal and related to their professional development.

  • Act as an expert advisor to employees and human capital partners;

  • Support the continuous improvement process for the services offered by your team by carrying out ad hoc analyses and keeping abreast of best practices and trends in the global market;

  • Collaborate with management teams to ensure successful deployment and implementation of new total rewards programs.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field;

  • Relevant certifications (CHRP, CCP, CBP) (asset);

  • Minimum of eight years of experience in total rewards management, including at least eight years managing compensation in a global context, including being exposed to total rewards in other countries or having undergone acquisitions;

  • In-depth knowledge of short- and long-term incentive compensation plans, pensions, group benefits, recognition and wellness programs;

  • In-depth understanding of compensation trends, pay equity, compensation administration and financial modelling with the ability to present and train individuals on compensation-related topics;

  • Inspirational leadership skills and ability to maintain an engaged, high-performing team;

  • Strong project management skills;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities;

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail:

    • Ability to use data to develop and present recommendations to senior management by asking thought-provoking questions and contributing new ideas.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.


Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a daily basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec, as well as to read and understand documentation in English.
